Welcome!
I'm Dr. Amber Blews.
You are ready to engage in personal growth and find greater meaning in your life and relationships. Maybe you are tired of just survining and are seeking something more. Either way, you have taken the first step in seeking out help to better understand your problems. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you to achieve your goals!
How I Can Help
My path to becoming a therapist began with a desire to help others overcome obstacles to growth, improve self-esteem and self-worth, and successfully move through life stages with a sense of agency. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings including university counseling centers and outpatient therapy clinics, which have provided me with multiple experiences that have shaped my abilities as a helping professional. These experiences have profoundly influenced my approach and solidified my commitment to journeying alongside others to help increase self-understanding and live more fulfilling lives.
Professional Background

Education & Training
I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, where I specialized in working with adolescents and young adults, behavioral oncology, and spiritually integrative psychotherapy. To this end, I have completed additional graduate degrees including an M.A. in Educational Counseling and and M.A. in Theology, which has influenced the trajectory of my work with clients who have sought help in areas of development, identity, and religion/spirituality. Additionally, I have completed trainings focusing on eating disorders and using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for crisis reduction, which further enhanced my expertise in working with adolescents and young adults in my clinical practice.
