Welcome!

Hi, I’m Natalie.

At times, our daily lives may become thrown off by stressful past or present experiences. Sometimes, the thoughts and emotions that come with this stress can feel overwhelming and even affect how we see the world and ourselves. It can be easy to let these thoughts get carried away, and finding support is a commendable way to work through these experiences. Taking the time to discuss the thoughts, feelings, and stressors may help shed light on just how much space these experiences deserve in our daily lives. I believe our minds have a powerful ability to spiral in all directions, and that by giving space for these things to be discussed out loud, we can begin to work towards helping ourselves become more resilient, self-aware, and self-accepting.

How I Can Help

In our sessions, you can expect empathetic listening, collaborative communication, and a supportive and accepting environment to address your unique concerns and needs. My approach is grounded in humanistic theories with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Gestalt Therapy being my two main counseling frameworks. I like to take a client-centered approach and work to mindfully bring experiences into the present moment, which is designed to sustainably enhance personal awareness, strengthen a greater understanding of current needs, and build resilience.

Together, we will collaboratively focus on developing coping skills, uncovering personal values, and building manageable plans and goals to help increase psychological flexibility, strengthen overall mental health, and enhance self-compassion.

Professional Background

My diverse experiences and education have fueled my passion for supporting others.

Here’s a glimpse into how my background equips me to support you effectively on your journey.

How I Got Here

My path to becoming a therapist began with volunteering at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) for a foundation that focused on providing support for the siblings and families of patients in the hospital. This highlighted the importance of support early on in life, especially during major life transitions and losses. Seeing the mental load that can begin building very early in life made it clear to me that emotional awareness, coping skills, and resilience are all necessary components of healthy mental and physical development. Over the years, I have experienced many of my own major life transitions, and have seen how necessary a safe and supportive environment is to overall health during all life stages. These experiences have profoundly influenced my approach and solidified my commitment to providing an empathetic and compassionate environment for those who need support to achieve greater mental and overall wellness.

Education & Training

I am completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, where I specialized in developmental needs, profound loss, grief, and trauma.
